FURAHA COAST ACADEMY, WE ARE MAKING THE SCHOOL BIGGER TO ALLOW MORE CHILDREN TO BE EDUCATED
Thanks to the help of our supporters and the collaboration of all the people who believe in and are part of it in Kenya School Desk, we were able to build the Furaha Coast Academy, a school near Ganda, which today is equipped with 3 classrooms.
To succeed in:
completing the structure with desks and blackboards, providing the children with school uniforms consisting of a skirt/trousers, a t-shirt and 2 pairs of shoes, installing together a gate with a fence, we have all been so busy, we have sold calendars, organized charity drinks, sold Kenya souvenirs online and received the support of many contributors.
At Easter in 2019, during a solidarity trip, the Furaha Coast Academy was inaugurated with a beautiful party that involved the whole community.
The success of the initiative was such, that the classrooms were filled up immediately. Today, we need 3 more classes so that all the children can be taught and learn.
We have to get building again!!!
During the gathering of Kenya School Desk (link *) in Sardinia, in Abbasanta, we collected the funds needed to start the construction but, to finish another 3 classes by December 2019, we need a bit more help.
After completing the “class project”, we will begin the construction of a kitchen that will allow children who walk to the Furaha Coast Academy to eat at school.
